For Yves Saint Laurent's Fall '09 campaign, Stefano Pilati channeled the '90s with the help of Christy — no last name needed. Check out the Super, decked out in all black, standing against a simplistic background shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. Christy's makeup and shimmery halter jumpsuit are very throwback, very old school — I'm not sure how I feel about it. I wouldn't think twice if someone told me this was torn out of a magazine circa '92. Christy looks like she hasn't aged a day, but the only modern element is the black leather tote. I expected a little more from Pilati; what do you think?

Yes, the ad is quite dated, but Christy will always be one of my favorite models
1I like it. If you're going to get a supermodel, then put the model front and center.
2I like it - it's simple, beautiful, and original. I know it's not the first time that this style of ad has been done, but it looks modern and updated enough. and considering Christy is my favorite super, you really don't need much to make her look good...
3I think the ad could be much better. I think it's a bit plain and boring, there is loads of ads like this, they could have done something different.
4i love it. it's simple and not overdone and overthought like many of the ads today.
5I think this ad is very modern not 90s. The jumpsuit is definitely in now and so are the red lips. Christy def didn't age at all - whoa.
