Freaky or Fabulous? Daphne Guinness in Alien Alexander McQueen

Camilla Belle isn't the only one adoring Alexander McQueen's Spring '10 collection: Daphne Guinness loves it, too. The muse hosted NARs' 15th anniversary party in NYC yesterday decked out in the designer's ethereal alien dress and matching shoes. The sky-high platforms would have made a major statement on their own, but of course, Daphne took it to the next level and committed to the whole space-age ensemble — even her hair looks galactic! Is her 'fit freaking you out, or do you think it's fashion fabulous?

There are 1000 ways to style that amazing dress better. And the shoes are awful...

since the shoes match the color of her legs it looks like her feet are deformed....

i prefer gaga's -- in fact, any of the other ones. i hate how these can cost so much yet you can see the line separating the platform from the rest of the shoe through the exterior...come ON mcqueen.

I'm actually in love with the shoes, but overall she does look freaky - more a result of her face than anything.

I love this collectiong of McQueen. Well I love everything except the shoes.Anyway, she doesn't know how to wear this.

This is one of those things that you just have to say, "Why Not!?". It's fashion people. She's not trying to run the country or anything. Fashion is about trying new looks and having fun! There is a time and place for fun crazy fashion and she grasped the opportunity.
