Derek Lam likes to keep his friends close and his models closer. After seeing Ginta Lapina on his arm at the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards last week, we found the model posing in Lam's new Spring campaign. "We went back to the beach, but it’s a dreamy world of cream-colored sand, highlighted by pops of color from vibrant clothing and accessories," said Creative Director Doug Lloyd.
The ad, shot by Solve Sundsbo at Pier 59 Studio in New York, showcases Ginta looking quirky cute in Lam's polka-dot confections. I love the punchy accessories, and Ginta's updo and red lips are a fun contrast to the beachy backdrop. Side note, what's up with the luring ominous shadow?
