It's official: Carrie Underwood is the Beyonce of the country music world. Last night, at the CMAs festivities, the songstress stole the spotlight with her magical voice, and more importantly, her stunning frocks. The country singer changed a whopping 10 times during the show. I like how she experimented with different styles via sequin minis, country belle gowns, tiered frocks, and even a sexy two-piece performance ensemble complete with sequin shorties. No doubt, Carrie loves fashion as much as she loves music. Keep on to experience Carrie madness . . .

The whole country music industry has turned into a screaming joke....Taylor Swift AND Carrie Underwood are the biggest butts of that joke. I don't even understand how this music can be called country anymore. Both of these girls are 100% manufactured and Carrie is the most airbrushed female in American history, so much so that she probably glows in the dark. Just unbelievably fake. BTW, the vocals you hear are not for real either as they have been put through digital pitch correction, and lots of other techniques to make them sound the way they do. It is even possible to pitch correct for live performances now. Poor Taylor can't sing to save her life but at least she is a creative songwriter. It's just too bad someone else isn't singing her songs. Carrie has a good voice with a lot of range and power, though not a "fabulous" or very interesting voice, and she hurts my ears when she screams the high licks incessantly. Also, what is it with all these angry songs full of angst and hatred. Then dressing up like a two-bit sk__nk complete with burlesque dancers all around. What on God's green earth is country about that? Johnny Cash and other great country artists of the past are probably rolling in their grave. And that the American public buys into all this BS is the most pathetic atrocity of all. If you like this manufactured, artificial type of music then fine, but at least they should have the decency to call it what it is rather than tainting the newest generation's minds for what country music really was intended to be.....about "genuineness," realness, values, love, etc..

Carrie is truly keeping country music country. As for Taylor Swift compared to Carrie , there is none. Taylor can't carry a tune in a bucket. How she won those awards is beyond me.

A very good friend of mine competed with her on American Idol and told a very different story about Cariie Underwood. Arrogant, hateful and diva like. Yeah she has a wondeful voice...but she is so full of herself. that can be seen at the very end of the CMA's when she told the crowd to applaud her and Brad Paisley because she had done a great job too! How arrogant.

I wish she would get a new stylist ASAP and hairstyle as well. Her hair is so dated. The majority of dresses were rather unflattering on her.

Carrie is such a wonderful person. She is beautiful both inside and out!!! Loved her performance last night. Go, Carrie! Your voice is amazing!!! (BTW, Carrie does write not that it really matters but she did write 7 of the songs on her new amazing album Play On!!!)

they're both great. taylor has done so much this year to deserve all the awards that she got. it's the 2009 cmas not the best country artist of all time. carrie has an amazing voice and doesn't need anything else. carrie's strong point is her voice (and she's gorgeous!) and taylor's strengths are writing and entertaining

@ #2: How can you say Taylor didn't deserve any of her awards?! She is one of the only artists right now who writes all of her own lyrics AND music, and she's been doing it since she was 16. That's more than you can say for Carrie Underwood, who is a glorified kareoke singer. She constantly gets put on a lighted platform in a huge dress because all she can do is stand there and scream. She has a decent voice, but she's not a writer or a musician, and she has the stage presence of a wet mop. I have seen her open for Keith Urban and it was the most boring hour of my life. I have never been so underwhelmed by an "entertainer." I couldn't be happier for Taylor and think she deserves every bit of success that comes her way!

I agree with the second poster. I've met her before and she was incredibly sweet. I'm not sure where people get that she's some kind of horrible person.

carrie is the sweetest girl in music. i have met her, no cameras around, and she was so humble and nice. All this is just crap created by the media and will all hopefully blow over. Carrie couldnt be happier for Taylor , even though taylor didnt deserve any of her awards. She hugged her and was genuinely happy.
