Kristin Cavallari Rocks The Blonds' Spike Shoulder Dress: Love It or Hate It?

Admit it: The Hills' Kristin Cavallari is a bona fide hottie. The temptress attended the Salt LA premiere in a rather ballsy spike shoulder dress by The Blonds. It may look familiar from a scene in Sex and the City 2 where Samantha wore the red version. Kristin accentuates the cool metals with silver and gray accessories, and that deep cowl neck is quite eye catching, but does Kristin have the fashion chops to pull this off?

um what qualifies a person to wear "high fashion" or be barred from going "too high"?- like her, dislike her no one should be limited to the variable arena's of fashion. be it high, low, designer or DIY - an outfit works or it doesn't and I for one appreciate the girls daring to break out of their comfort style zone. that being said - better shoes and hair next time...that is all. oh and smokin makeup! @stellaruby lol - oh gwar...

Can't stand this girl. Yes, she's attractive enough, but she tries way too hard. I agree, this look is just a little too high fashion for her.
I can appreciate the spike shoulders, but the deep cowl front looks trashy. Just too bleh. I also don't think her hair was structured enough to work with the dress. Color and fit are great, but some edgier shoes and clutch would have made the ensemble pop.

I can't figure out why this looks so much better on Samantha/Kim Cattrall than Kristen. I'm not even a Kristen hater. I think it's the low neckline that looks cheap and she looks uncomfortable in it where samantha rocks whatever she's wearing?

^Thanks cherrypie61. Someone needed to say it. The dress is great and the shoes/clutch may not have been the best choice, but they still look nice. The Blonds can do no wrong.

I think most of you are taking personal and I understand that. I'm not a Kristin's fan either and truly don't think she's got the fashion chop, but have to admit the dress is totally fabulous and that's why it's not that easy to pull it off. It's definitely not for anybody. I voted I loved it because aside from liking it a lot I admire her courage to wear it and I don't think she's done it that bad. Have to give her a break!

It would have looked much better with a more modest neckline. I also think that her hairstyle doesn't suit the outfit.. any kind of up-do would have worked better, imho :)

the close up is great, rocking hair and makeup and shoulder spikes to top it off...very nice but from a distance -eww!

The deep cowl in the front makes it look cheap. And the shoes + purse don't help. All of it is distracting from what should be the main feature--the detail on the shoulder. I don't like it.
