Freaky or Fabulous? Giles's Spring Spiders

For his Spring '10 runway show at Paris Fashion Week, Giles Deacon delivered a colorful and quirky collection filled with prom-inspired dresses, metallic pants, and see-through gowns. However, it was the abundance of creepy, crawly spiders that induced my fear. Indeed, I suffer from slight arachnophobia (although I guess I don't mind daddy longlegs, they eat other bugs, right?). And so, I don't understand why anyone would want to have a furry, eight-legged creature hanging off her chest. Maybe there are some fashionphiles out there that share Giles's love for spiders, just not me. Freaky or fabulous?

I hate spiders....omg, I got freaked just looking at the pictures! The model on the left looks okay with the critter, but the one on the right looks like she can't breathe. Scared? Eek.

I like spiders but I don't like the color combos.

I think it's fun, but definately not for everyone. I like the metallic sheen, also the spider tee and skirt is fun, but the brooches are too costume-ish for me.
