Banana Republic is giving me something to look forward to come Spring. Honing in its love for polished sportswear, the retailer sent models down the runway in a fresh collection of denim, chambray shirts, silk tops, moto jackets, refined shorts, classic trenches, and slick chinos. "We’re still a work brand, but we want to have great weekend and going-out clothes, too," said Banana Republic's president, Jack Calhoun. And that they did providing us with neutral-tailored separates along with colorful, silky splashes. I especially love this seafoam silk tunic dress — so luxuriously simple.

While shorts and skirts dominated the runway, cropped pants also played a key role in the storyline. Clean-cut chinos and jeans were cut right above the ankle for a refreshing, chic look. On the accessories front, I adored the straw fedoras and leather-mule sandals. Affordable and amazing — just the way I like it.
