Glitterati: Jewels

Jewels' adornments have an especially unique story. Born the daughter of an Air Force pilot, Jewels grew up traveling the world with her parents. As a young girl, she was attracted to exotic jewelry bazaars located in North African cities such as Tunis and Tangier. Fast-forward 25 years, and her affection has turned into a bustling jewelry business boasting clients like Sheryl Crow, Orlando Bloom, and Patricia Arquette.

Using antique amber, coral, shells, turquoise, gold, North African silver, and coins — most of which are more than 100 years old — Jewels has created a collection filled with modern touches. We're currently lusting over these oversize African bezeled rings. Prices aren't cheap — pieces range from $150 to $2,500 — but you're buying a piece of history.
