Proenza Schouler Designs Jeans With J Brand For Fall 2010

Proenza Schouler's buttoned up fall 2010 collection featured updated collegiate-style toggle jackets, sleeveless white shirts, plaid pleated mini skirts, and high-waisted, ultra skinny denim (a first for Proenza Schouler). The jeans were designed in collaboration with J Brand, combining the denim brand's much-loved stretch fit with the designers' modern silhouette.

Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez explained they were exploring the idea of uniforms with this fall collection and couldn't ignore denim's ubiquity in most people's wardrobe. Of course, these trousers aren't your average jean. Each pair is printed with a graphic black and white graffiti print, which is hand-pained over to create texture.

"Everyone we know wears J Brand. It was an easy choice," said McCollough and Hernandez. The denim collection will be available in stores mid-July.
