Rachel is usually chic and together. Her high performance shoes throw this casual look off. Boots would have been a better choice. I agree the outfit is ill fitting and collides with her usual classic style.

The outfit is "meh" but her hair is AWFUL! Her roots are terrible, and that brassy color looks so bad on her. Frizzball!
This is NOT a cute outfit. Rachel Bilson looks to be overweight and frumpy, two things that she is not. As separate pieces distinct from this ensemble it may have worked, but together it's a big mess.
