Rafe Designer Handbags at Target
Target has added yet another upscale label to its accessible design roster: the hip, chic Rafe New York line of shoes and bags, founded by Filipino wunderkind Rafe Totengco in 1995. For the past decade, Totengco has created edgy, urban bags in the $500 range, but with his Target line, he's bringing his distinctive style to the masses. Though these limited-edition bags are all priced under $50, they look like big-budget buys. Here's a look at the line.

Impressive! But what are these made out of? Pleather?
8I'm not sure how I feel about them. They look too low-quality on here, but perhaps in person it's a whole different story!
9They look like low-quality fake leather here, but they're actually patent leather. I saw them in the store on Saturday.
I love them but I can't justify paying $50 for a bag at Target. I could swing $30, maybe.
Hopefully nobody will buy them and they'll go on sale soon!

11It's funny, because I'd seen them in person, I didn't even realize how crappy they looked in the photos. But as soon as you brought it up, I was like "Oh, yeah, they DO look shoddy."

if they are already in the store, though, i may just go pick it up and cancel my online order since they said it will be a few weeks before shipping.

14I'd check the store first to make sure they're in. Because I saw them in one Target on Saturday but when I was in another Target the next day, they weren't there.
Jeez, I sound like a Target addict! I was just looking for a Superman costume in my dog's size.
15Patent leather! In that case, I think I'd love the large black one! I'll have to go see them. I have to return a reject halloween costume from target.com anyway!

20well, whip, i AM a target junkie. my almost two year old daughter knows the store so well...everytime we start heading toward the shopping center, she says "tar-get" (like french pronunciation).

i have the vanilla clutch and is sure is pretty! i have the clutch also in chocolate, but my hubby told me its too much hah! he liked the vanilla clutch he told me its color is fresh and edgy. we both used to be a runway model before back in our country, Philippines. i'm so proud of rafe
