Roberto Cavalli Iridescent Leather Pumps: Love It or Hate It?

Wow, I never thought the terms "iridescent" and "pumps" would ever go together and look so delicious in the process (although, I do believe Dolce & Gabbana toyed with this idea before, circa 1999). Roberto Cavalli's Iridescent Leather Pumps, $875, posted by Leeluvfashion in the Love it or Hate It? group are simply delectable. Although the peep-toe pump style is nothing new, the green and blue iridescent leather makes them a hit. Do you agree?

Great sexy shoes! I noticed that as usual someone thinks that high heels = hooker. Where does this notion come from? It seems to be an aberration that occurs solely in America (apart from some Islamic countries); I have never come across it in the UK or Europe. In the UK, the Ladies of our Upper Classes and Upper Middle Class have always worn high-heels and our "Finishing Schools" and some private schools used to teach girls how to walk in high-heels. By the early 50's women and teenagers of all social classes were wearing heels and, apart from the second half of the 60's, the early 90's and the current and regrettable obsession with ballerina flats for these last couple of years, most still do.

In the picture they look okay, but in person I HATE the iridescence. I think it looks turbo tacky. I'm surprised so many people like them, I hope I don't have bad taste!xoxo
