I have to admire this Grey's Anatomy star and her risk taking with red carpet fashion. But this eggplant colored Lanvin gown, a bit goddess, a bit sci-fi, is swimming on her tiny frame. What do you think of those big ass hoop earrings?
i'm thrown off by how she thinks this bizarre, spacey outfits look good. and its hard for anyone to look good with their hair slicked back w/o any volume
I couldn't concentrate during her speech when she was accepting their award because of her big ass bangles. I'm surprised they didn't slip off her arm!
I think if it fit better, she lost the earrings, and did something softer with her hair, this could work. She took three crazy things and put them together, not a formula that works often.
funny how JLo pulled off the super-tight, hair pulled-back look a few days ago but Ellen Pompeo cannot do it. those space earrings and goddess dress just don't cut it.
I just don't get her choices. She has such a natural beauty & then she seems to always OVER do it when hitting the red carpet.
She needs to make softer simpler more elegant choices with her dresses & hair.
She has the potential to rock the carpet like Katherine H. does but for some reason she always seems to go in the absolute wrong direction.
Too bad. I really like her but she could take a few pointers from Katherine Heigl. OR, dump her stylist and get a new one.
Agree, the ballerina bun may be in but its not for everyone.
I think it's mostly the hair that is throwing this whole thing off. If she would've done some soft curls with her hair down, or just a few pieces pulled back off her face, it would've looked
a lot less severe.
She's pretty, but that plastered down hair really made the wrinkles around her eyes the most prominent thing on her face.
Whatever. I think it is fabulous, very modern (I think sci-fi is a little harsh), and flattering for her (way-too-skinny) body. The jewelry was a mistake, though.
I don't like anything about this look. I don't like the color of the dress, the odd thing around the neck is, well, odd, the earrings are too big, the bracelets looks clunky, the hair pulled
back so tightly looks too severe. Overall, it just doesn't look right.

Sarah Jessica Parker celebrated Halston at The Bay at Yonge and Queen in Toronto, Canada showing off her killer legs and unbeatable hair. She covered up her fitted purple mini dress with a black Marchesa tuxedo jacket, adding silver satin Ferragamo pumps, a sparkly Halston handbag and festive jewelry to complete the look.
She always has a sci-fi element to her dresses. Look at her GG dress.
I LOVE the color but not the dress
I hate when she pulls her hair tight back like that. She looks sooo much better with softer hair
1with such a big neck piece she should have gone with no earrings or very small earrings
2Yes...I think that's why I'm thrown off. The neck thing = no jewelry.
3i'm thrown off by how she thinks this bizarre, spacey outfits look good. and its hard for anyone to look good with their hair slicked back w/o any volume
4So right. The hair is not working for me.
5ok the more I look at the dress the more it grows on me. Its just her hair and earrings that really throw it off
6What the hell..........
two words: God Awful
7i see the supernatural element. she looks a little treky
8wow, not really sure what look she was going for. hard to believe this is it. the dress has no shape and the hair is like a skinned back onion.
9too much- the neck piece, the hair, the earrings, and those bangles. Can Katherine Heigel please give her a hand next time with a bit of glam.
10I like the color of the dress, but it looks billowy on her frame. I like the hair is pulled up, but it looks harsh for some reason.
11The earrings are ok, the hair eee, but the dress is too big and pregnant looking. Overall, yuck.
12At first glance I thought she was a boy with a crew cut. This girl never gets her looks right. She needs to gain 10 pounds!
13i'm not digging this at all. It looks like something out of star wars or star trek.
14LOL miss-brit - I thought the same thing - totally star trek!
15Egad, not liking this dress at all!
16The neck of the dress is competing with the earrings and her hair pulled back looks awful. And she has orange make up face. Blech.
17I don't like anything about this. The dress is very unattractive on her. And I agree her hair is very harsh and the earrings just don't work either!
18I couldn't concentrate during her speech when she was accepting their award because of her big ass bangles. I'm surprised they didn't slip off her arm!
19I don't like the dress, but if her hair weren't so severe, the whole outfit may have worked better.
20why why why, would anyone walk out of the house looking like that?
21The dress is unflattering, the jewelry is fighting each other and her hair looks terrible. Just a big miss.
And seriously - why does she pick her gowns from the Star Trek costume closet?!?
22Head-to-toe awful.
23OMFG. What is this?
24An absolute NO-Go!
25Wtf.. I made a moomoo like this in 7th grade.
There's just no real word for this look.
**~~Everyone who's anyone has been on sesame street.~~**
26awful hair!!!
27NO NO! 100 TIMES NO!!! could they have pulled her back any tighter???? she should go for the softer look, it suits her much better!!
28I think if it fit better, she lost the earrings, and did something softer with her hair, this could work. She took three crazy things and put them together, not a formula that works often.
29OMG, she looks like a martian. She could have had a fighting chance if she wore her hair down (think loose waves) and took off those crazy hoops.
30funny how JLo pulled off the super-tight, hair pulled-back look a few days ago but Ellen Pompeo cannot do it. those space earrings and goddess dress just don't cut it.
31for some reason I can't vote! but i HATE it. I htink she looks awful.
32SICK!!! She looks terrible!
33oh my.... doesn't she have any friends that would tell her the truth about this look?! it's awful!
34I just don't get her choices. She has such a natural beauty & then she seems to always OVER do it when hitting the red carpet.
35She needs to make softer simpler more elegant choices with her dresses & hair.
She has the potential to rock the carpet like Katherine H. does but for some reason she always seems to go in the absolute wrong direction.
I always hate what she wears. She'd look so much better with 20 more pounds on her body.
36Hate it, it makes her look pregnant and the neck thing/earrings combo, is too much.
37Too bad. I really like her but she could take a few pointers from Katherine Heigl. OR, dump her stylist and get a new one.
38Agree, the ballerina bun may be in but its not for everyone.
she looks like an alien
39Ewe. NO. Did anyone see that Punk'd she was on? Since then, I just can't relate to her...she was so rude & so obnoxious!
40I think it's mostly the hair that is throwing this whole thing off. If she would've done some soft curls with her hair down, or just a few pieces pulled back off her face, it would've looked a lot less severe.
