We've gotten used to seeing Sarah Hyland on the red carpet in flirty, formal, prom-worthy dresses — pieces that are pretty, yes, but don't have the opportunity to really reveal what her true style is. So imagine our surprise when we came across this shot of her striding into the Late Show with David Letterman in an outfit we could easily imagine on the most stylish women we know (including high-powered women twice her age who are used to running things and getting stuff done).

In a world where jeans are a staple, her pick of high-rise wide-leg white pants with a double row of buttons totally stands out. The waistline is the ideal height for pairing with a crop top, since only a sliver of skin is exposed (and the effect is still sexy!). She topped it with an oversize, boxy blazer and pulled on major statement heels: teal and black cutout pumps from Rene Caovilla accented with Swarovski crystals. A different shot also gave us an easy view of her totally sophisticated quilted Dior bag, another winning piece that would fit in any closet, any decade.
