I Want This Wardrobe: Serena van der Woodsen

5

Notice how Serena van der Woodsen toned down the sexy in this episode of Gossip Girl. During a congressional visit, the Upper East Sider wore a navy boyfriend blazer over a simple black minidress. Smart move layering the short hemline with textured tights. A metallic scarf and olive-green satchel complete her chic, office-friendly ensemble. Now if only her and Blair would make amends . . .

no, it is not appropriate; but compared to what she wore on her college visit (OH MY GOODNESS; a super low-cute blouse was included) this is church appropriate - THANK GOD! to those who don't watch this show (first off; good for you! haha), while I agree that the lack of realism in the characters' stories does get annoying, and the clothing sometimes gets way too immodest to the point where it's really creepy seeing these supposed 16-year-olds in stripper get-up; the wardrobe is a character itself and there is a certain element of escapism and fantasy that one has to engage in when watching. it may not be realistic, but it is fun! and while this is definitely not appropriate; I do love this look. it's about time they cover up her chest...

Anonymous, I had the same reaction! That is not appropriate for a Congressional visit!

I don't watch this show. I'm amazed that every two posts is about this show. Let's pick another 'I Want This Wardrobe' for once.
Okay, I don't watch Gossip Girl, but a mini to a Congressional office? Are you freaking kidding me?
