Yep, the basis would be The Carrie Diaries, the book about Bradshaw's life in high school before she moved to NYC. Sex and the City 2 just hit theaters, and speculation is already mounting as to what will come next. Sarah Jessica Parker wants a third film, and costume designer Patricia Field said it's quite likely. However, the next movie may not star SJP at all. Candace Bushnell's new book The Carrie Diaries, which focuses on Carrie Bradshaw's teenage years before moving to NYC and meeting her best friends, might be given the big-screen treatment. Miley Cyrus, who has a cameo in SATC 2, has already expressed interest in playing young Carrie. The series might not be the same without Sarah Jessica, but tell us what you think — would you watch a SATC prequel?
Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, and Kim Cattrall brought the decadence of SATC2 to Japan over the weekend, starting with a Monday photo call before today's premiere. SJP arrived sporting her chic NYC style and quickly morphed back into Carrie joining Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda for all the events. SJP skipped the dramatic headwear instead wowing the crowd with all those diamonds. Cynthia kept it simple in black at both events, and Kim shimmered in shades of gold. Kristin was a knockout in red yesterday and kept things fun and flirty today in another knee length gown. The fab four put up a strong fight at the box office but ended up coming in third behind Prince of Persia and Shrek Forever After.
