Sheer Dresses Trend For Spring 2012

Spearheaded by a red-carpet obsession with Stella McCartney's cutout dresses, the sheer trend is dominating celebrity style this Spring. It can be lace and boudoir-inspired, mesh and slightly sporty, or delicate and feminine via silk chiffon, but the main message is this: show some skin without really showing some skin. At the premiere for "My Valentine" this past weekend in LA, stars including Reese Witherspoon, Miranda Kerr, and Gwen Stefani sported sheerness thanks to Stella McCartney (who was also in attendance, but kept herself completely covered up), and we got inspired to pull together our favorite sheer looks so far this season.
