Shoe Fetish? More Like a Shoe Orgy!

Updated 12/17/07 5:33 PM · Posted by FabSugar · 46 comments

Warning shoeaholics: V Magazine's recent Foot Fetish story features Fall's most exciting shoes in a different light, to say the least. As you can see, the Diors (left) and Calvins (right) are not alone: they are intertwined with naked bodies! It actually looks quite painful, but pain is beauty, right? I admit, some of the contortions are too strange for words and NSFW (not suitable for work), but overall this is just brilliant. Now if only we could take such refuge in our most glamorous footwear in real life! The world would definitely be a more interesting place.

creepy. Takes away from the beauty of the shoes.
for real? you think that dismembering women's bodies and stuffing them into shoes is sexy and brilliant? damn, girl. this is pure objectification at its finest and most disgusting. i'm actually kind of appalled that you would even post these on here, let alone give them praise. not even kind of, really. just appalled.

Interesting. I'd have to say that the idea is great! But I think it could have been more tastefully done.
It's creepy, but think about it.... It's a symbol of women's obsession with that one (or two..or three...) favorite pair of shoes that all the other shoes in our closet are jealous of. It represents how crazy we all REALLY are, and how we would (if we could) just walk around naked in those shoes with an invisible head just so that everyone's full attention is on our shoes. Some of the pictures even show how some women find some sort of 'safety' in those shoes, like a 'security blanket' (It's a psychological thing, people get over it eventually).

Visually, it's catchy and the idea behind it is pretty innovative and that's what art is all about.
Very bizarre. I'm not too fond of these advertisements

i love shoes and i don't see this ad as creepy or scary , nice body , vary nice shoes.

that ad reminded me of the monsters in Silent Hill 2. It's kind of bizarre for a shoe spread.
