Shoe Fixation: Red Patent Leather

Red patent-leather is showing up on shoes of all kinds, from platform sandals to pointy-toe heels. Playful, funky, and just a little bit indulgent, these siren-red shoes would look great paired with fall's black tights and gold accents. I just can't help but covet them. I guess the first out of all of them isn't too bad...but it still looks too plasticy for me, and for four hundred bucks it's out of the question, i could buy like a week's worth of food with that money

Since when did Bebe start charging Manolo prices for their shoes? I could do red patent, but with a very muted outfit. With shoes like these, you have to let them be the entire focus.

I just bought a pair of patent leather red shoes. They are definitely not for the shy. :-)

4 down look like Hooker shoes. LOL!!! RED is DEFINITELY IN this year ... Red Patent Leather = HOT As for animal print ... YIK. The only people are wear animal print are rich people and street walkers.

These in particular don't appeal to me, however I have a smashing pair of round toe pumps with a buckle near the toe from Kenneth Cole. I wear them every couple of weeks. The Wizard of Oz comments never fail.

LOL, i dont like patent leather either same reason as you. It takes me back to my white shoes i wore to my first communion LOL

thank you yayita! i don't get it either...at least with the patent red! i just can't get into shiny patent shoes...they remind me too much of second grade in Catholic school. i'm not a little girl anymore and these shoes just don't do it for me!

I think the only red patent I'd feel comfortable wearing would be maybe a ballet flat. But I'd rather have just red leather. Shiny red just reminds me of Dorothy.
