As the weather heats up, celebs embrace sunny staples including flirty skirts, cutoff shorts, and resort-like espadrilles. Busy Philipps styled her two-tone Lanvin espadrilles with a bold tropical dress in Beverly Hills, Alexa Chung wore her classic espadrilles with a not-so-classic denim overall dress, and Krysten Ritter chose a pair by Aldo to complement her floral Dolce & Gabbana dress in Las Vegas. Espadrilles work well with everything from dresses and skirts to jeans and shorts, so see which other trendsetters have been rocking the Summer trend, then shop a few pairs for yourself.
Trend Alert: Sweetness and White
If Vogue magazine covers tell us anything, it's that white — particularly in the form of eyelet, crochet, and lace — is going to be big again for Spring. We can look to Dolce and Gabbana's fresh Spring 2011 collection (at left and center) for giving us white dresses galore, and Alberta Ferretti (right) for reminding us of how romantic it can be. That said, we've always loved the fresh, innocent look of eyelet and cotton lace, partly because it's something you can only wear in warm weather. Here are our editor picks for pure white delight.

Trend Alert: Pretty Peplum
If you're feeling that there's something extra femme about these celebs' dresses, you're picking up on the pretty peplum. Just that little ruffled detail lends a whole lot of feminine appeal on Dree Hemingway, Michelle Trachtenberg, and Rachelle LeFevre's looks. We love that there's something retro yet modern about the detail. It's a way to add a visual interest and to define a waistline; plus, in these festive colors, it's perfect for holiday dressing.

Lucky Magazine + HSN = Designer Capsule Collection
Lucky magazine and HSN have become fast friends. The two teamed up to create an exclusive capsule collection with seven designers — Shoshanna, Rebecca Taylor, Kooba, Rebecca Minkoff, Tracy Reese, Gerard Yosca, and Helen Ficalora. How are these pieces different from the ones the designers create for their namesake lines? They have the same aesthetic but are way more affordable. "It is so exciting to be partnering with HSN and have these unique, fabulously priced items reach a wider audience and bring Lucky Shops to life in an entirely new way," Lucky's editor in chief Kim France said. The designer capsule collection will be revealed on HSN on Oct. 16 and 17; some pieces are now available on Lucky Shops at HSN.

Swimming With Shoshanna
Um, isn't Shoshanna hot? And buff? Just had to point that out before we continue swimming with Shoshanna. I don't know about you, but I'll take swimwear advice from a successful designer, mom, and hottie. Here, Shoshanna answers our questions about how revealing a swimsuit should be, what it was like collaborating with Charlotte Ronson on their swim collection, and the best beach coverups.
How revealing should a swimsuit actually be?
Bust coverage test: Three-fourths of the bust should be covered, leaving only a swath of cleavage. The thicker the strap that attaches the bust to the rest of the suit, the more likely it'll stay in place as the day goes on. If you opt for a bandeau top, which is often strapless, nothing should be squeezing out the top or the bottom. Boy shorts offer great coverage on the bottom if you're active, but they're far from being a universally flattering style.
What was your favorite part of collaborating with Charlotte Ronson on Made With Love?
Getting to spend some time together was the best part. We have always played nicely together and get along great. It was very satisfying for both of us to see everything come together and to love everything!
What was the biggest challenge?
Finding time — we are both so busy!
Will this be an ongoing collection?
I know it will be, we have already finished the second collection.

How many swimsuits do you own?
I own way too many swimsuits to count!!! All Shoshanna, of course!!!
What are the key swim trends to look for this Summer?
Look for bright pop colors like neon pink, orange, and green. Tribal prints are popular as well as ditsy floral prints, big bohemian florals, and graphic black and white.
How do you prevent swimsuit wedgies?
Prevent wedgies by wearing the right size. Not too big and not too small. Should be snug, but not tight.
What advice do you have for a girl who isn’t comfortable with her beach body?
A bathing suit is a bathing suit, it’s never going to cover that much! You can do lots of things to cover up area’s you are insecure about. Throw on an Elizabeth and James button down, Anlo jean shorts, or a Mexican embroidered dress. If you are insecure about your bottom, thrown on a cute skirt. If you want to cover up your arms, a 3/4 sleeve tunic will do just the trick. Also, accessorize your outfit with some beachy jewelry, like gold necklaces or bangles to look super chic.

Celebrity Style: Rachel Bilson
Rachel Bilson left her house in an outfit that makes me want to know where she went! The actress stuck to her love of quirky dresses in a navy and white Phillip Lim silk dress with unique embellishments. Then she dazzled her feet with a pair of gold metallic Giuseppe Zanotti pumps. So as not to look too calculated, she threw on a navy velvet blazer and her signature Ray-Ban Wayfarers. Cute.
