Why the heck should they?! I love message tees, always have, always will. I especially love the Junkfood tees w/cute characters on them. I really hate plain shirts. I have very few plain shirts in my wardrobe, and theyre not even truly plain because they'll have ruffles or some sort of detail. I absolutely hate spending money on tops that are absolutely plain. I'm in college, but I'm going to wear them past college, definitely. Not to work of course, but in my everyday life, just lounging around or hanging with friends, why not?
I have a couple that I like, like my "Evolution Kills" shirt (from the comic Questionable Content, plus I'm a Bio student so it's an inside joke sorta). Most of them are kinda feh, though.
I HATE MESSAGE TEES! there should be a message tee that says "Message tees are stupid, and show just how stupid you are for buying them!"
actually, I won't say that completely. I have no problem with a tee that shows an interest, such as a band or something like that, or a shirt that is trying to conveys a message; "STOP ABORTION," "VOTE," "BE GREEN," etc. what I hate are just dumb, cutesy shirts, and what I really hate are the kid's shirts - the ones that say things like "My dad's tatoos are cooler that your dad's" or "Get's away with anything," etc. THESE ARE YOUR CHILDREN - HAVE SOME RESPECT AND STOP PUTTING THESE STUPID SAYINGS ABOUT IDIOTIC BEHAVIOR THAT TEACH KIDS THAT IT'S FUNNY TO LIE OR TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE (fyi: I have no problem with tatoos; I just don't think they're a point of pride)!

I could care less. Fashion is all about personal expression and if ppl feel like they want to say something with a tee - why not. Who am I to say "No".
ummm i really love my little miss sunshine tee when im in the mood, but damn im 25 so i have to dress like a grown up, so at work i wear blouses and cardigans and weekends i love any tee. come on, its just a tee!
I think a lot of the message shirts are lame, but people can wear what they want. Since I don't like them I don't wear, but I'm not going to tell anyone else what to do.
souvenir shirt that says where you went on vacation= completely acceptable and kinda cool.
But wearing a shirt that says anything else "post-college life" is just plain wrong!

Freedom of speech is the most important right in this country and because of that I tend to love statement ts. That being said i reserve my right to think that any shirt that says "my boyfriend knows Im hot" is a lame shirt :)
If you are going to say something to the world, make sure its something worth being said.

Only on certain occasions, I think. Like a political function maybe. But I personally prefer to keep the statements on my car's bumper and not across my boobs.
