These Celebs Were Kind of Twinning at the Oscars

Mar 3 2014 - 12:10pm

Given the infinite options celebrities and their stylists have at their disposal for any award show, we had to smile when we saw these actresses in such similar dresses at the Oscars. Sure, there are always some common themes, but in these cases, the likenesses were pretty startling — like when Amy Adams [1] and Sandra Bullock [2] both arrived in elegant navy-blue, strapless numbers. They're not the only ones . . . Inside, we tracked down the other Academy Awards look-alikes. Flip through to see all the dopplegängers right here.

Sandra Bullock and Amy Adams

Both Hollywood A-listers played it sleek and simple — and we couldn't help but draw comparisons between Sandra Bullock [3]'s elegant navy-blue McQueen gown and Amy Adams [4]'s sleek Gucci [5] number.

Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Garner

Angelina and Jennifer both had glitz on the brain for the Oscars. Angelina brought the sparkle in the form of an Elie Saab [6] Haute Couture number, while Jennifer channeled the same high shine in a tiered, fringed Oscar de la Renta [7] confection.

Naomi Watts and Calista Flockhart

Naomi and Calista were majorly twinning in their white cap-sleeved gowns. Naomi slipped into a custom Calvin Klein [8] creation, while Calista showed off a beaded Andrew Gn [9] gown.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Cate Blanchett

Just count the similarities between Jenna's Reem Acra and Cate's Armani [10] Privé gowns — cap sleeves? Check. Sheer necklines, allover embellishment, and a full A-line skirt? Check, check, check.

Camila Alves and Penélope Cruz

Both lovely ladies opted for the same shade of petal pink and draped details, with Camila in a Gabriela Cadena gown and Penélope in Giambattista Valli [11] Couture.
