We've all been guilty of a little shoe worship now and again, but this might take the cake: it gives a new meaning to the the thought of putting your shoes on a pedestal.

If you like to bring some of your favorite shoes out of the closet and into the spotlight, the Shoe Shelf from 659 Design, $660, is perfect. Or, if you're not so shoe-obsessed, use it as a book shelf or a place for pretty tchotchke!

Outrageous... style and cost. Love it, but would try to build rather than buy.

Ok, but then your shoes get all dusty. That's why you get the cute shoe bags, keep the Louboutin boxes and buy those clear plastic shoe boxes - so you can see the shoes, and they are all safe and clean from the elements. I have a big walk in closet so there is dust in the room. I'm not Mariah Carey, I don't have someone to dust my shoes for me. And why spend that much on a stupid shelf when you can just buy more shoes. And a plastic box for less than $10.

$660!! No way would I pay that for a shelf. It is nice though. Reminds me of shoe displays in stores.

seriously! it's a peice of lumber, stained nicely. probably $2 for the wood. several peices of sheet metal, who knows. This thing could probably be made for under $30. whoever designed this is seriously making a killing.

That's really expensive, and I could never afford that for a shoe rack. But, it's a good idea. Maybe I will try to make one! That would probably only cost around $100.
