Finally, the moment I've been waiting for ever since Sex and the City wrapped . . . ok, maybe not, but I'm excited that Cashmere Mafia finally premiered. Did you watch?! It delivered all that I hoped for: fabulous women, even more fabulous wardrobes, and a New York City backdrop. Trust me Fabbies, it's to your benefit to get to know the Mafia, because as far as I'm concerned, anything associated with cashmere is a sign of luxury.

I loved it and didn't think it was trying to be like Satc at all. Yes there are four women in Ny, but i think the difficulties end there. They aren't constantly sleeping around, they have brains and wit and real problems.

As Asia84 said the first episode of SATC was not that good either. I just saw to episodes from SATC season one yesterday and found it a bit painful. Also it takes some time to get to know the characters. I was not that impressed by the first episode of CM either, but I hope it will grow on me, it has the potential.

It was alright, not bad for a mid-year show. And Lipstick Jungle starts in February. What I loved was Lucy Liu's wardrobe.

I never really enjoyed SATC either ... I never liked the characters too much. Cashmere Mafia, on the other hand, seems classy and has great potential. I will definitely be watching!

I have never enjoyed SATC. I only caught parts of Cashmere Mafia, but the parts I saw were at least enjoyable enough for me to watch it again.

I wasn't looking for a SATC remix. I liked the show. it's still new, so it has some kinks to be smoothed out. I didn't like the 1st episode of SATC; Carrie screwed some guy (afternoon delight) and it was kinda skanky to me at the time. you noticed carrie wasn't as overtly sexual after that episode . . .

Ugh, I was disappointed in this show! I'm so bummed because I was really looking forward to it. Awful script, bad acting, totally unrealistic - none of the characters are easy to relate to... Bad all around.

i watched it and it was def entertaining enough, though it's not nearly as witty or smart as SATC was. the show tries way too hard to be like them. so i guess the show is pretty unoriginal, BUT like i said entertaining :) so i guess i'll keep watching!

this show was so bad it actually sort of hurt to sit through it. i was really looking forward to it too. no wonder they saved it as a mid-season replacement. and the writers' strike blues may even earn it enough viewers to land a renewal.

i totally agree with jasmint. still, i may give the show another chance. SATC will never be replaced--i've got my box set of SATC for my viewing pleasure whenever and i'm waiting for the new movie in may!

cute clothes but horrible script. the dialogue was laughable. unfortunately for this show, SATC was witty and realistic with great chemistry between the actresses. i felt like these women were trying too hard to sound important.

I watched it and was not impressed! Yes they are trying to hard to be like SATC.... Wardrobes were great, script was not! I actually stayed up until 11:30pm to get my real SATC fix....now that is timeless.

I was definitely trying to hard to be SATC...even the theme music ending sounded similar. I'll probably still watch it though...at least for a little while.

I really wasn't impressed. I found it trite and unrealistic. I can see people watching it for the wardrobe, but I've already got Gossip Girl for that.

I was disappointed in it too...Alicep, I totally agree, there will never be another SATC and I can't see another group of women having the same chemistry that Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda had.

I watched. It was entertaining, but I don't think I'll Tivo it. Did anyone else feel like it was trying to hard to be Sex and the City? Most of the dialogue just wasn't that funny. I think I read somewhere that the other SATC knock-off, Lipstick Jungle, is supposed to be better.

I was actually disappointed in it. I had high hopes but I just didn't think it was smart, witty, funny, or fresh. I think it will always be tough to match up to SATC. That show was just so well written and a refreshing take on the lives of women. I don't think I'll watch it again.

I watched Cashmere Mafia last night and loved it! I am glad it is on regular network TV, but I have to admit, the fact that SATC was on HBO and they could say & show EVERYTHING made it was it was. We'll see...
