You all know how much I like to dress up, and I was thinking Valentine's Day would be the perfect time to entertain a little Lolita fantasy.

The perfect prop? These Fred Flare Heart Sunglasses ($9), which together with a babydoll dress and some patent mary janes could produce some serious fun . . .

What is the deal with Lolita? That's my favorite book, but I'm not looking to emulate a middle-aged man manipulating his position as a step-father to sleep with a 12-year-old girl. I don't get why I see so many "sexy" Lolita references, though. That certainly wasn't what I took away from it.

i think they would be cute if they were a wee bit bigger. i agree that they do seem a little like what i wore when i was seven. but those were great times! So go for it fab!
