if you ask Karl, he prefered Penelope Cruz. No matter, because judging from the movie stills, Tatou is exceptional at portraying fashion's most celebrated designer. The way she wears that bowler hat, the pearls, that signature Chanel tweed is magical. I can't wait to see her come to life on-screen. A US date has yet to be announced, but the film debuts in France and Belgium Apr. 22. Get a sneak peek now.

Audrey is a very talented, fresh actress and I think it is absolutely great that she gets to play such an icon as Coco Chanel.
1I agree, she certainly seems to be a great fit with the subject.
2I'm pretty stoked, but I also thought that the Lifetime movie version was very well done too. Shirley Maclaine as the older Madame Chanel? But of course!
