Most of you loved Sofia Coppola's recent ad campaign for Louis Vuitton but how do feel about her designing for the luxury brand? Rumor has it that the award-winning director will design a collection of handbags and shoes for Louis Vuitton.

Coppola, seen left with one of her designs, has played muse to Marc Jacobs so it makes sense for the two to take their friendship to the next level. Her collection for Louis Vuitton debuts in Japan and will sell worldwide. We can't wait to see Sofia translate her cool and classic style to the iconic brand.

i think that she really could do something that's interesting and that could do well for the brand. the one thing that i'm not sure that i follow with LV these days is who they have designing collections. Kanye is doing something and now this. it's like they are trying to reach a whole new demographic group and i'm not sure how that's going to resonate with the traditional clientel.
