Sophie Hulme Sequin Poncho: Love It or Hate It?

I love sequins, yes, but this Sophie Hulme Sequin Poncho ($880) makes me believe that there is such a thing as sequin overload. The designer has fused two opposites — sequins and ponchos — but I don't think it's wearable in real life. It seems too high maintenance, too flashy. What do you think?

I have one of these coats, and it's incredible....You lot all just stick to your river island/topshop winter coats, and people with a bit of style will choose something more fun like this...I'll keep mine forever

I like it. :) Sure, people might look at you funny walking down the street, but I would want to own it just to LOOK at it! Lovely!

i know its not what people on the streets would consider norm, however it's really not THAT bad if u think about it. if i had one i would mabye wear it, maybe not depending on my mood. and those that say that sequens r only 4 halloween and stage performances have lost they'r mind, do u even know all of the other fabrics and things people r using 4 clothes? All in all its not worth the price, but its defenatly not Tacky! its unique, like me! even though sequins rn't my fav (they bend easily).

Heh, I think my avatar makes my opinion known :) I only wear little accents with sequins, like hairbands, etc.

anything with sequins automatically = LOVE. i'd wear this with jeans any day.

i'm on the reverse of most of these commenters...i love sequins, hate ponchos. i could see this done well...just not on the average girl. put this on rhianna and everyone will be clamoring for one in a second.
