Spring 2011 New York Fashion Week: Proenza Schouler
2011 Spring New York Fashion Week: Proenza Schouler
Last Spring, the Proenza Schouler girl was heavy into surfing. Her gear was neon, full of neoprene, and she had a sporty sensibility. For Spring '11, the girl has morphed into a lady — but wait! — she hasn't lost that cool edge, no way. If anything, to get with the times, she's introduced longer hemlines into her wardrobe, but her surf-inspired ways are still there. Sheer fabrics, '50s-inspired frocks, ruffles, and tweed are her new things, but one look at each piece and there's no mistaking it — it's a Proenza Schouler. I mean, who else can rock a neon triangle bra with tweed? Amazing.
