Slide Into One of Spring's Biggest Shoe Trends

Feb 18 2014 - 3:01pm

Sometimes there's a shoe so easy and cool, it earns a following even bigger than the statement heels or printed pumps we ogled on the runways [1]. This season, it's the mule. I fell hard for the versions on Tibi [2]'s runway — an embellished wedge [3] quickly became an obsession — but they weren't just at Tibi: they're practically everywhere for Spring.

I really do mean that — you'd be hard-pressed to find a designer who didn't show the easy slides on their runway, be it the sleek wood-wedged versions at Victoria Beckham [4] or the polished heels on Altuzarra [5]'s catwalk. With slimmer heels, pointed toes, and sleek block heels, they're much more modern than the clogs you remember from the '60s. Scroll through and take your pick!
