Stella McCartney has no shortage of celebrity fans — remember all that work she did for the Golden Globes [1]? — and many of them showed up to her Pre-Fall 2014 presentation in New York on Monday. While the star-studded crowd included Liv Tyler [2], Dree Hemingway, and Susan Sarandon, guests seemed perfectly content to let McCartney's collection take center stage for the evening.
The designer points to her sister Heather [3], an artist and potter, as the inspiration for this eclectic offering. The collection includes everything from dresses in a modern version of houndstooth and a jumpsuit in glen plaid to even a mesh sweatshirt with an embroidered pony on it. Liv's dress, which had a line drawing on it, echoed the motif of a few other pieces of the collection — and we all know how popular putting faces on things [4] is these days!
