Paillette

Of French origin. Shiny, flat round disk, larger than a sequin, sewn to a garment for decorative trim. Used on dresses, tops, sweaters, jackets, and bags.

paillettes are coming up very much so & have been for a while. there are the seven for all mankind jeans and recently a juicy couture tank top. the problem is because it can be very intricate--the pricing is very well over your average tank top cost. they're so beautiful though. i love them. they're like sequins but more. they go against the conventional sequin-covered dresses that i seem to seeing more and more of everyday.
