Style For Style: Wear a Bra, Look Braless

26

While 70 percent of you think going braless a la Kate Moss is a huge no-no, 30 percent of you think it's fab. So for the minority, I'm here to deliver up a realistic way to look au natural without offending the person in front of you. While the majority is probably wondering why in the world anyone would want to look braless, it's worth knowing that in the modeling industry, bras are optional, and in fact, being sans bra is preferred. So models and wannabes, listen up!

To learn how to look braless in a bra, read more.

Bandeau bras are the perfect way to look the part without actually being braless. Except for models, walking around sans bra is a foreign feeling. If you want the look that Kate Moss has mastered but aren't comfortable with taking the bare plunge, opt for a bandeau; it'll keep your breasts in check while showing off their natural shape. I can't guarantee it'll hide your headlights, so maybe you can wear petal pasties under your bandeau. I recommend big-busted ladies steer clear of bandeau bras unless they have an underwire.

i ssoooooo like bandeau bras
I love going braless. I'm a C cup and I look fine. Not too long ago I started wearing bras more often and I've noticed a little sag, so no more bras for me. When your bras do all the work for you, the ligaments atrophy and you get saggier breasts. At least that's what I know is true for me. Goodbye bras! And also, I totally agree with morganfay!
I'm surprised I haven't seen these bandeau bra things on bralessblog.com :)

I love the bandeau bra's. That is all I wear. Almost impossible to find though. Does anyone know who sells a decent one?

Oh, and plus, I find going braless a little uncomfortable.. am I the only one who feels this way?

I find bandeau bras makes some breasts look terrible! The whole braless thing.. I mean, some dont look as bad if the girl isn't wearing a bra. but usually, A or B cups, or even C cups, look horrible without a bra. baah. to everyone their own choice, right :) Im not offended if I see someone not wearing a bra, but usually I dont find it very appealing.

I only WISH I could go braless. I'm a bigger C, almost a D, so it's impossible for me. It just wouldn't look good. Kudos to anyone that can and does go braless! I've often wished my breasts were smaller so that I could just throw on a sundress and not have to worry about bra straps (I can't stand strapless bras).

OFFEND others by going braless? Puh-lease. They can suck it up and NOT stare at my boobs, yaknow. I shall do as I please and think about my comfort zone, not about their prudeness.

If they fall down or are too big, just buy some control top pantyhose and cut the legs off! That's what my friends do for bandeaus.

bandeaus not a favorite of mine--i second the uniboob comments. i don't have a particularly large chest at all, but i need SOME support. i'd rather stick with a strapless.

I have the American apparel bandeau and I love it. I also go bra-less a lot but definitely have a small chest.

First of all I think lingerie is an integral part of an outfit and should look as beautiful as every other item of the ensemble. I have yet to find a bandeau bra that looked even slightly attractive. My view. Either do it properly, bra-less and proud of it, or stick to a lovely bra and be happy people can see it.

Why would I want to wear a bra and look bra less?? Not for me.

would love to, but as a 36C I'm afraid I look indecent in such things...

I have to agree with the other comments regarding bandeau bras cutting off the top of boobs and being too roomy for my smaller chest.

I don't like bandeaus at all, they always cut off the top of my boobs and it looks weird when i wear anything with it

what? i don't understand the wanting to look braless but wearing a bra. i usually go braless because, damnit, sometimes you just need to be free! guys don't have to go around in life with elastic bandages suffocating them all day! unless they're ratty and old, they can sometimes be a pain. and i don't see why there are so many braless haters. we're mostly girls--boobs need to breathe!

I'm actually a fan of no bra and have small enough breasts that I don't think I'm offending people. That said, I've tried bandeaus and I find they're too roomy for my non-boobs. The end up rolling/sliding down to my waist. Not worth bothering.

Bando bras are okay, but they really cut the top of your boobs off and if you have larger boobs they do not work at all. One bra that I found that I call my "No Bra Bra" was a racerback cotton I think from Hanes. Great bra, gives natural shape but holds them in place.

those slip off if i bend or walk fast or raise my arms.
