Summer White Suits

Max Mara showed a white suit for its resort 2011/12 collection, but we're seeing it already thanks to stellar appearances by Halle Berry and Rihanna. Halle chose a more classic silhouette in her Roberto Cavalli, while Rihanna went for a slouchier silhouette in her Max Azria suit. The white suit is a crisp go-to; polished and sharper than your Summer dresses, and it's a nice way to change up your wardrobe. You can wear a full suit, or make your own using complementary shades of white and cream. To make it more casual, try cropped white pants, a slouchy tee á la Halle Berry, and a linen white jacket. If you're looking to dress up, go for a cream or white silk chiffon blouse, layers of matte gold or silver jewelry, and minimal heels.
