Teen Choice Awards: Vanessa Hudgens

I'm a lover of the maxi dress trend, but I think on such a young (and little!) lady like Miss Vanessa here, the long dress feels a little more prom and a little less funky Teen Choice Awards. I do like the color and pattern of the maxi, and she looks adorable, it just maybe isn't quite occasion appropriate? Thoughts?

Why are people talking about the dress... look at that stack of bangles...jeez was all that crap really necessary? I love accesories but when your fist starts looking as big as your purse you know you've gone overboard. Besides couldn't she have done 2 on each arm instead of 4 on one???

ehhh...she sorta looks like she's playing dressup with her mom's clothes, and that color does nothing for her. also, whoever is doing her makeup needs to make her not have crow's feet. girl is 18, for goodness sakes.

She does look nice but i don't think it's really appropriate for this event. She should've dressed more casually. I don't think the dress should've been that long. But she's cute regardless!

I like the dress, but its too mature for Vanessa. This was a "teen choice" awards show which makes me think short, flirty and brighter colors rather than this long and blah colored number. Since she is with Zac and he sported black and white, she should have worn something a bit more splasy and retro. she really is a beautiful girl and could have dressed a bit more appropriately.

I like the dress, but you're right - it feels out of place at a laid-back event like the TCA. She stills gets my vote though for looking so elegant!

since when is too dressy a bad thing? at leats she didn't look like a skank or a slob. and who says summer means short dresses? the girl stood out! it still has a light summery look, if she wore it in the fall or winter i'd say it wasn't appropriate.
