>> Tiffany Launches Handbag Line by Lambertson Truex Designers —Women are more likely to splurge on a bag for themselves than a piece of jewelry, so in response, Tiffany is launching an extensive line of handbags, ranging from $395 for a small suede tote to $17,500 for a large crocodile bag, in a dozen of its US stores Sept. 1 (the collection is already online here). The designers of the bags are Richard Lambertson and John Truex, who designed under the Lambertson Truex label for a decade until the recession drove them to bankruptcy court in Spring 2009; Tiffany subsequently bought the trademark and hired the designers. Each bag carries some element of Tiffany's signature blue, whether it be on the clasp, the color of the lining, or the entire bag. [WSJ]

Julien MacDonald's Campy Christmas Tree
British designers Sir Paul Smith and Julien MacDonald have very different holiday decorating styles. According to WWD, Smith goes for a natural tree with just a few fairy lights and threatens to "tie and gag" the grandchildren if they add in any clashing colors. MacDonald, on the other hand, believes in a more festive look.
“I like to go for a camp tree, which I decorate with shells covered in glitter and fish dressed as drag queens with top hats and wigs," he told reporters at Tiffany's annual holiday party in London.

Shopping: The Brooch is Back

Much-loved by wide-shouldered power-dressers in the Eighties, the bold brooch is back—but this time around it's not about jewel-encrusted serpents and cheetahs. Lanvin's Alber Elbaz designed two of our favorite whimsical pins, both perfect when piled on in pairs and worn with a ladylike dress or added as an afterthought to a favorite handbag.
Celeb Style: Maria Sharapova
Is there a look Maria Sharapova can't pull off? I think not. The tennis star showed up at a Tiffany event in NYC looking sassy and sophisticated at the same time. The print of her Chloé resort dress is roarworthy, while the loose cut is beyond chic. Further spicing her up are her Tiffany earrings, black ankle Cole Haan booties, and black-cuff bracelet. Another great ensemble, Maria!

Fab Blab: Angelina Jolie's Stylist Talks Separates
Jennifer Rade recently dished about Angelina's custom-made Versace dress, and now the stylist opens up about the actress's latest red carpet look. For the Hollywood Film Festival Awards, Jennifer collaborated with the actress on her sleek, all-black look. Though from afar it looks like a dress, it's actually a Karen Zambos top, Alexis LaMontagna skirt, and Tiffany earrings. "It's two separates that looked great together, clean and simple with a pretty shape, which is what we like," Jen said. Et voilá. I love fashion illusions.
If you think this ensemble is too simple, don't forget what Jennifer said before. While many of us only have a strong eye, strong lip, or strong jawline, Angelina has them all; minimal designs allow her features to shine.
