Trend Alert: Bib Fronts

Though the name isn't very alluring, bib fronts are a sweet front detail for an array of tops and dresses. Named after one of the first articles of clothing we ever wore — a bib — I do not encourage you to make a mess all over these feminine pieces. To add some romance to a look, the bib front serves its purpose once again.

Juicy Couture is so overplayed. Before you know it'll be at JC Pennys in the juniors section. Just about every tween girl at my sons school is dolled up in JC. The garish handbags are a huge hit.

I have that Gap blouse and I really like it. It's classy. (and most importantly, machine washable!) Though I did kind of regret walking out of Gap with two items for fifty dollars each that I hadn't gone in looking for. Oh well, the damage is done. At least I've worn both of them...

Bib fronts are cute! About a year ago I made a plain tshirt into a bib tee by sewing some cool fabric onto the front. It's one of my favorite shirts!

Nice! That's one of my top ebay searches. :) Ps, not *everything* has to be about sex appeal, people. If *you* are sexy, your clothing doesn't have to be. I've never actually seen a bib front on any maternity or children's clothin, but it's all over clothing from the 60's and 70's.

Too matronly, no sex appeal. They are ok I guess for an age bracket of say 13 thru 16. The exception would be and work for ladies who perhaps have a bun or 2 in the oven.
