Trend Alert: Plastic Handbags

Here's the scoop with this one. I have been seeing plastic handbags in every which magazine. But, I think they are tacky most of the time. So, I held off until I found three plastic contenders that I felt were not as tasteless as the rest of 'em. I am proud to present you with a few plastic handbags that are fun and whimsical and maybe just a bit fantastically tacky.

plastic bags are so cool! I bought the prada one and a marc jacobs and a chanel ! I wear them to beach, to pool parties... i LOVE the ! I think you guys are missunderstanding the conseption of them. Once you have one you'l love them!

i like the Dooney & Bourke ones. you get a good brand name and they're only $30. i expecially like the new madras one, its colorful and not totally clear and really cute for spring :)

I am so not a fan of this trend. Not only are they ugly, but why on earth would I want to pay $100+ for a bag when I could buy one that looks the same and is of virtually the same quality for $20 at Claire's. If I'm paying extra, I want quality and individuality.

I love the Coach ones (Coach costs like 4x more here in Singapore), and a couple of friends use them, but I wouldn't spend the money.

Plastic bags are the worst. They show all of your purse contents (which usually aren't very organized and sometimes include tampons) and they feel awful against your skin in the summer. Why do they always try and bring them back? Lame.

you know, I always see the employees at department stores with these clear purses when they are on break or leaving and I always thought it was odd, now I understand why! I would hate to have everyone know whats in my purse, not a fan of that!

LoL these remind me of my mom when she was a buyer for nordstroms..the only way they could take a purse was if it was a clear plastic Nordstrom purse LoL no Thanks!

The first one is actually kind of fun, but not for that price. Overall, I'm not a huge fan of the plastic bags though...

After my retail experience, I really prefer to not carry my stuff in a see through bag, or anything involving plastic.

Yeah, I was thinking "I like the third one" before I looked at the name and price. Clear bags are fine for the beach, but not for everyone to see the mess that is your purse. Why not wear a clear shirt while you're at it? :-D
