Trend Alert: The TTD

7

My daily routine of perusing Net-A-Porter led me to something so simplistically new: the TTD, also known as the top tunic dress. However, I must give credit to Roland Mouret for this genius idea. The TTD is pretty much three pieces in one: a top when tucked into pants, a tunic paired with leggings, and a dress — rad. When shopping for TTDs, make sure to look for sleek shapes and solid colors for maximum versatility and always accessorize with tough elements. Three in one? It doesn't get better than that, folks.

Isn't every short dress three in one?

ok, this guy did not come up with this "genius" concept. i'm pretty sure every fashionista has been doing this for years anyway.

Although I do really like the draped dress, I think the shoes are what makes the outfit. Not only are they ultra- stylish, but they add a fun and exciting element to an otherwise somewhat average and standard dress.

I like this look, but think it only works on a person with a really nice body. I always think that showing off your decollete in a nicely tailor top is an easy way to look 10 lbs thinner. When I wear a draped top like the dresses above, I feel like I look heavier than I am.

I have a couple and it is wonderful!! Mine are black, red and grey, with 3/4 length sleeves and a boat neck. I pack at least on of them on almost all my trips. What is sooo great about them is they go from day to evening and into the night by changing accessories and adding or subtracting leg wear.
