Vera Wang's name is synonymous with "wedding dresses," and for her latest Spring '14 bridal collection, the designer didn't short on the drama. Inspired by architecture, Wang concocted a collection filled with texture, volume, and modern nuances. While we're used to seeing all-white bridal gowns, the designer pushed the envelope with strong elements of black — via lace bodices, tulle overlays, and even luxurious leather gloves — juxtaposed against creamy ivory hues and traditional wedding dress silhouettes. Kate Hudson wore Ann Taylor and brought Matthew Bellamy with her to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation's annual Hot Pink Party in NYC last night. The couple was joined at the charity bash by a Blumarine-wearing Elizabeth Hurley and Elton John, as well as fashion designers Michael Kors, Vera Wang, and Donna Karan. Kate was doing more than just walking the pink carpet; she also presented an award to Kay Krill, the CEO of ANN Inc., the parent company for Ann Taylor, where Kate serves as a brand ambassador.

Kate has been keeping busy in the Big Apple. She is currently promoting her new film, The Reluctant Fundamentalist, which will screen at the Tribeca Film Festival next week. Despite Kate's work duties, she and Matthew did manage to squeeze in time with their boys in the city ahead of their gala date.

Sienna Miller wore a Topshop dress and held hands with her future sister-in-law, Matilda Sturridge, when the two attended Vanity Fair's Tribeca Film Festival party in NYC last night. Sienna's night out with Matilda comes after a day out with Tom Sturridge in Manhattan earlier this week. The couple squeezed in a bit of alone time following a weekend with their daughter, Marlowe.

Sienna and Matilda were joined at the event by Evan Rachel Wood, who cradled her baby bump in a black flowing dress. Evan vented about attending the star-studded bash while being with child since she couldn't partake in any of the booze-related festivities. She tweeted, "I love that I am going to a cocktail party tonight, but I can't have any cocktails. It's like a birthday with no cake." Also on hand at the fashionable fete was model Karolina Kurkova, TFF fixture Robert De Niro, and Whoopi Goldberg.

Fall 2013 saw Vera Wang return to one of her most revered skills: dressmaking. But don't go thinking that means this was a collection filled with the princess gowns and wedding attire that's made the designer a household name. Nope, this was a collection that showed off Wang's incredible ability to make beautiful, superwearable clothing for day — and she did it all using classic, sculptural techniques. Exaggerated cape and tulip shapes were the main silhouettes here; they came in the form of stiff twill coats with oversize armholes or squared-off sleeves, or in the form of puckered peplums on dresses and tops, or as gently folded origami skirts. And though there were plenty of gorgeous, textural fabrics to behold — heavy satin, metallic brocades, fox fur, and chantilly lace — it was a series of pieces made from iridescent sequins and jumbo rose jacquards in ultraviolet, magenta, and tangerine that really stole the show.
