Vera Wang kept the description of her Spring 2015 bridal collection to simply "Lightness of being: Delicate and disciplined. Sensual and seductive." On those four counts, she certainly succeeded. There was a definite seductive quality to Wang's bias-cut slinky chiffon gown and cutout cowl-detail crepe column. The discipline came with the highest level of craftsmanship on full display, particularly in the case of hand-appliquéd Chantilly lace.
There was a haunting quality to the line as well: web lace sleeves appeared to drip off the body, ruched tulle seemed almost tattered with age, and pearls crept down the neckline as if they were crawling. But these were no accidents. Because with Wang, the beauty is in the details.
