Vera Wang Voile Strapless Dress: Love It or Hate It?

I'm iffy about this Vera Wang Lavender Cotton Voile Strapless Dress, $430, posted by SaraSmile in the Love It or Hate It? group. I would totally rock it if it didn't have those huge, heavy pockets. For such a delicate frock, the pockets are too harsh. Plus, they take your attention away from the pretty ruching at the bodice. Do you agree?

You know... This is One of those great finds its cute and even formal but the pockets give it a sweet sort of casual flair! I love it! When paired up with the right colours and accessories I'm sure this dress would knock anyone off their high horse! If Vera Wang continues taking these sort of chances I might become a bigger Wang Fan than I already am!

I'm usually anti-pockets when it comes to dresses, but the pockets on this dress give it a sort of classic motherly feel (if that makes any sense)...I don't know why, but I like it.

I don't like the pockets at all. I think they may look better when actually on a body but it's not my thing at all.

luv the dress but the pockets took over...they have got to go! maybe if the pockets were designed to be inside (kinda like jen hudson's dress at the academy awards) then maybe it wouldn't look soo bad.

FabSugar I agree about being on the fence on this one. When I saw the headline I was like Yeah of course I'm going to like it's Vera Wang. Love everything she does, but when I saw the picture I was disappointed by the pockets. Their just too heavy for this lovely dress.

I like dresses with pockets, but they should be slits, not enormous bags that make a girl look twice her size. However, it does make the dress a lot more casual and and it is original at least.

I love this dress, it reminds me of dresses my mom and aunts used to wear....lovely and delicate. True, the pockets could be a little smaller, but I do love dresses with pockets...
