Celeb Style: Krysten Ritter

With party season just around the corner, I thought I'd spotlight this flirty holiday-appropriate ensemble from BFF & Baby star Krysten Ritter.

With party season just around the corner, I thought I'd spotlight this flirty holiday-appropriate ensemble from BFF & Baby star Krysten Ritter. For a party in LA, Krysten chose an asymmetrical Alexander Wang dress and strappy lace-up heels — perfect look for a seasonal bash. Get the same look when you pair a black one-shoulder top with a drapey gold pencil skirt. Next, add a sexy pair of lace-up heels and a studded clutch. A look this sultry should be light on accessories, so just throw on a cocktail ring and get ready to party. Click the items above to start shopping!

Trend Alert: Pony Hair Shoe Flair

We've seen pony hair on footwear in small doses already, but come Fall, there's way more pony hair shoe flair in store.
Pollini at ShopStyle

We've seen pony hair on footwear in small doses already, but come Fall, there's way more pony hair shoe flair in store. This time, look for pony and calf hair taking over on flats, loafers, and boots, a la Phillip Lim's new Fall footwear. Don't fear a little pony fringe, it's just another way to texturize. We love how it furthers interest in a leopard print and adds another dimension to lace-up boots or clogs. It's sophisticated with just a little free-spirited fashion fun.

Trend Alert: Curvacious Kicks

It was hard to miss Lake Bell at the LA premiere of Shrek Forever After with her yellow blouse, cute black shorts, and black and white curvaceous kicks.

It was hard to miss Lake Bell at the LA premiere of Shrek Forever After with her yellow blouse, cute black shorts, and black and white curvaceous kicks. This outfit is properly timed — while the yellow blouse packs a punch, the shorts buffer, and the shoes bring in a courageous surreal sliver. Summer sandals are curving in all directions with thick and thin straps, daring colors, heels and flats. I like how they bring a fluid mix to an outfit; part psychedelic, part sci-fi, totally fun.

Look of the Day: Bargain Huntress

There's nothing I like more than a delicious sale.

There's nothing I like more than a delicious sale. In fact, I just went to the Barneys Warehouse sale in SF and scored on an amazing pair of Marni sandals! Back to Taylored. Check out the rad outfit the bargain huntress put together for under $50. Props for donning harem pants and I love how she tucked in her wild tee for a more polished touch.

Here's what she has on:

Shirt: Urban Outfitters
Pants: Target
Shoes: Via Spiga
Belt: Forever 21

Congrats to Taylored!

Everyone else, submit your looks and I might feature you on FabSugar!

Model Karolina Kurkova attended an NYC benefit in an ensemble that proves that you don't have to wear skin-tight clothes to be sexy. Check her out in her chic menswear look consisting of an oversize white button-down shirt, tucked into a fitted black pencil skirt, and finished off with chunky black patent sandals. The rolled-up sleeves lend casual flair, while her black clutch and gold hoops dress her up. Those juicy red-orange lips are the cherry on top!

Celebrity Style: Audrey Tatou

Isn't Audrey a vision in Chanel?

Isn't Audrey a vision in Chanel? At the Paris premiere of the hotly anticipated Coco Chanel bio-flick, Coco Avant Chanel, she wore a black-and-white floral frock from Lagerfeld's Spring couture collection. She contrasted the prim with a not-so-prim cropped black leather jacket. Swirly black leather Sergio Rossi sandals and a green cocktail ring make for unique accessories. We haven't seen our Fabcon in a while, and can't wait to see more premiere looks from the pseudo Coco.

Celebrity Style: Rachel Bilson

It was nearly a week ago that I chatted with Rachel Bilson, and now she's back in LA running errands with her mamacita.

It was nearly a week ago that I chatted with Rachel Bilson, and now she's back in LA running errands with her mamacita. She's dark and mysterious in her black wedge boots, Brian Reyes jersey tee, and dramatic asymmetrical knit vest. But she livens up the look with a bright red ruched Miu Miu bag. She never leaves home without her Ray-Bans, and this time she wore her tortoise pair. Notice how she later changed into UGGs — guess those wedge boots were hurting her pups.

Mountains of Monkfish and Other Sundry Skins at Vena Cava Spring 2009

>> Yesterday, Vena Cava debuted a new shoe collaboration with Via Spiga during their Spring 2009 presentation — four styles to go along with the collection's Egyptomania theme, involving odd skins like monkfish and salmon. Perhaps most fun was the way Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai chose to present — in their quirky Vena Cava way.  The models wore them, of course, but they also piled a whole bunch of pairs together and then labeled it like an art piece in a museum: "Vena Cava in collaboration with Via Spiga. Untitled, 2008. Monkfish, salmon skin, cowhide, metal findings."
