ICYMI, Anna Wintour made her debut on The Late Show with David Letterman last night to discuss her documentary, The September Issue, and all things fashion. As expected the Vogue editor held her own in her Carolina Herrera dress as Dave dished out the fashion jokes and references to her ice queen reputation — Anna rebuttled, I'm "Lukewarm Royalty with a Whip from Outer Space." Dave even asked her if she's ever put anyone in a headlock. No doubt, Anna prevailed and even showed off her fun sense of humor. Anna, we knew you would be fabulous. Check it out.
i thought that something was a bit awkward in the whole interview w/ her. Maybe she was nervous.
1She did seem extremely awkward.
2Loved her on Letterman! Where is her necklace from? She wore that style of necklace throughout her new film and I am SO curious as to who makes it?! Fab please find out for us!!
3i cant wait till this movie comes out!!!
4I love the she suggested Thom Brown to him. Normally, thinness in the fashion industry doesn't bother me at all but holy crap, she is tiny!
5its creapy how her face doesn't move at all
she was akward, can't wait till it comes out
6I am not Anna Wintour obsessed but she is always uncomfortable, awkward, tense, with poor turtle like posture in interviews.
7I actually thought she was fine - anyone is bound to be nervous when on tv and if you don't do a lot of sit-down interviews it takes some time to get used to the dynamic.
8I am by no means a Wintour-hater; however I am really annoyed by the Fashion Night Out and how people in the industry are acting like they are doing some great charitable service to regular people - I highly doubt the multi-millionaire management of stores like Macy's are hurting from the recession...
She was fine, but the joke she made about being "lukewarm royalty" in the beginning was too rehearsed. She had been working with a PR coach for this interview and that is one place where it was evident.
