You may have figured this out already, but I am a handbag addict. I like clothes and makeup and I LOVE shoes, but I am completely and hopelessly addicted to handbags.

if anything proves how irrational and crazy and superficial women are it`s their obsession with handbags. i mean, i know harvard grads who act like they never attended junior college by the way they get suckered into needlessly buying dozens and dozens of handbags. what gives anyway? the makers of these handbags have women "pegged" as big time chumps, as they just churn out more and different handbags year in and year out to be consumed by so-called educated women...and for what? [now notice i didn`t even mention shoes, boots and makeup, or romance novels for that matter] again, with all the problems in the world that need solving and all the disciplines that are able to generate such satisfaction in life, such as playing a beethoven piano sonata well, none of those things can hold a candle to what any run of the mill handbag holds in the minds and emotions of most women. you care to talk about what is SUPERFICIAL..TALK ABOUT THE WAY WOEMN LOVE THEIR HANDBAGS. i promise you, it does not make them look all that good. in fact, it`s so pathetic and infantile that it also reasonenough to take away their right to vote. sorry, but i`m serious.

Okk good I'm not the only handbag addict. I have about 30 handbags from Coach, Dooney, Guess, Juicy Couture, Jessica Simpson, Bmakowsky, Kathy Van Zeeland ohh lord too many. I can't get enough, but hey you gotta have the best and look the best.

i am above average. I probably own over 20 handbags I bought 7 between last november and june of this year. between august and now I've gotten atleast 5 I am more than obsessed

i am addicted to purses and shoes, but i would say i spend more $ on purses!!! i have 2 hermes birkins, 1 chanel, 4 louis vuittons, 1 lacoste, 1 dior and others..(i know...)ugh,,,,this is just me!!!

I have 3 addictions! Shoes, Bags and Lingerie in that order. I have about 100 bags. From Bottega Veneta to Prada. And yes Coach, which I consider my work horse bags. I troll Neiman's [final call] to Filene's for them. My average price paid is $500.00. But honestly I have paid 3 times that. If I could splurge on one designer item it too would be a bag. I already splurge on shoes. If I love them I buy them! But alas a "Crocodile Birkin" is the holy grail. I'm on the wait list at Hermes here in Chicago for a $7,000 one. That's fine with me, I'm saving to pay cash for it. Shoes, Bags and Lingerie are the reasons I happily go to work everyday!!!

I'm addicted to Balenciaga purses. They are gorgeous and I must have them all. I also have a Fendi boot obsession but I can only afford the one's on Ebay until I become a surgeon :(

My main addiction is shoes, but I'm developing a handbag fetish as well - I just got my first Louis Vuitton and my first Coach within 2 weeks of each other, lol, and I can't stop dreaming about more to add to my collection. My only problem is, when I spend that much on something, I'm hesitant to use it frequently because what if something happens to it? I know, I'm mental.

Most of those are right on the money for me. I would actually definitely pick shoes. I *had* 40 purses, but my husband made me go through and cull them the last time we moved. So now, I have more like 20. I have no idea what my purse weighs, but 3 pounds sounds heavy...? I don't know. I won't spend more than $150 on a purse. But, we're poor - and I like variety. :) $42 is just about exactly what I spent on my last purse. I do have a favorite handbag now, but I still like to match.

the amount of handbags is about right (6) ..but the $42 thing definitely does not apply to me. for under $150, that's really along the cheap side.

I'll admit to a handbag addiction. I have 4 Louis Vuittons, 1 Burberry, 2 Vintage Chanels, 1 Prada, 2 Diors, 1 Fendi, and 9 Coach (I know, I know... BUT I live right by a Coach outlet!) I tend to splurge on handbags more than anything else because I think that a good quality handbag that will last me years is worth it. This is also the reason why when shopping for handbags I buy ones that are classics and will last me years... rather than the uber trendy ones... why spend so much on something you'll only use a season or two?

not even close. i have a few evening bags (why i have no idea i rarely go out in the evening so don't often need one. but i do like sparkley things). and i have 1 or 2 hand bags at a time. i usually put off buying one as long as possible because i don't feel like i'm good at it. unless i see one i like and find out where that person got their's and get it immediately, i'm lost. going to the store and then looking is overwhelming, like sun glasses, i see waht the people in the displays have on and chose from just those, too many options.
