Sad as it makes me, I need to start investing in pieces that I can wear to work. I tend to skimp and buy bad quality work clothes, because I hate spending money on things that aren't fun! But this is my career, and I want to look polished and professional.
i have got to seriously put a hold on shopping for quite a while....like a few months. i have things with tags on them from months and months ago and i just did what i hope (because my willpower is terribly weak) will be my last clothing purchase for a while: a gorgeous slip from silence and noise.
Mine would definitely be to set a shopping budget for myself...I already do a fine job of splurging and buying pricey things for myself! LOL. I need to cut back.
Mine is a combination of a few of those - I'm planning to wait until I finish losing the weight I want to, and then I'm splurging on myself with quality pieces that will last me a long time.
oH! yes a budget, sometimes i dont
spend a lot, but when i do, YIKES!!
especially with the credit cards, with
those i need so much care,DAMN!! why
to they slie so easily, LOL
I'm going to try & budget better, but my actual fashion resolution is to stop buying handbags like Coach or DKNY and others and to purchase one "investment piece". My goal is to save enough each month and the end of the year- buy my Chanel bag.
I want to make sure to use everything I have... I tend to go back to the easy things, because of my cramped closet space, so I'd like to help this by keeping a photo database of all my outfits (also helpful to weed out unflattering pieces -- the camera doesn't lie). I started this last summer, but then I got super lazy.
I always buy crappy work clothes because I hate spending my disposable income on plain ugly suits, but this weekend I made myself go out and buy some new quality ones, not even on sale! It killed me, but I'm proud of myself!
