London is great to shop in but it can get expensive as the Dollar is not as strong as the Pound. I love to shop in NY however, as there is so much variety and you can actually find a bargain somewhere.

NYC recently got rid of their sales tax too ;) but only for things under $100, I think. I love living here, and I love the shopping, but I find that I like shopping in smaller rich cities too (Dallas/Plano, TX; Scottsdale, AZ) because they have the upscale shops, and when they go on sale it is not mobbed and picked over...

I live in MINNESOTA it's horrible. There is no shopping here at all. You can't even get anything Chanel, or Dior which are my FAV designers. FINALLY a year ago we got a LV store. I would def. say NYC but I haven't been to Paris and I'm sure if I ever did go I would never leave with my disgusting shoe and handbag addiction!

why not? humm, i don't know? maybe because the money you spend flying there makes it several times more expensive than just buying at stores near you or on-line. maybe because the time it takes to make the trip takes you away from people who really need you and depend on you and it's too self indulgent to even consider? you know real life grown up stuff.
