i hate skinny jeans. they're good for bike riding and for tucking into boots but that's about it. and the bubble dresses were HORRID. i feel like this year's trends only flattered the incredibly thin. ::the platypus is proof that god has a sense of humor::

The only one of those trends I won't go near is bubble styles. Skinny jeans are probably my favorite since I'm thin and short. I haven't the length of limb to pull off wide clothing styles and even boot-cut jeans make me look heavier than I really am.

it was a toss up between leggins and skinny jeans, but the skinny jeans look is a LOT worse than leggings. just, ew. i also hope layering never goes away because it just seems so much classier to see teenagers walking around covered up instead of their cracks and whale-tails stinking out everywhere! and i feel so much more comfortable in low cut jeans when i have long shirts to cover everything.

Ooh, yes- I agree about the ankle boots. No thank you. Someone mentioned horizontal stripes, too. That's one of my pet peeves because, plain and simple, they make people look wider. I suppose if that's what your going for, then it's cool. I've noticed that sort of goes hand in hand with the mod trend - lots of black and white horizontal stripes. And what's with the leggings with horizontal stripes?! It just doesn't make sense. The mod thing has kind of bugged me the whole time, but I'm not sure why. I was thinking how fitting it was that it's coinciding with the release of Factory Girl, but that hasn't even come out yet! Leggings. I adore leggings. Opaque tights, as well. I wear mine (especially the leggings) with a button down shirtdress that hits above my knee because those bottom two buttons can easily come undone while walking around (especially walking up stairs...my campus has a lot of stairs), and if I'm wearing leggings I can be sure I won't flash anyone. I've got a big butt, so I've stayed away from the skinny jeans the whole time (like those Brit What Not to Wear ladies have said- you need some volume at the bottom to balance it out). Skinny jeans are tappered jeans in disguise. I would totally go for the skinny jeans tucked into boots...but I need a pair of boots first. The one time I wore skinny jeans was this past new year when I borrowed a pair from my sister to wear under a dress. The dress hid my bum and it was all good. Wow, this turned out to be a LONG post. ;)

I think leggings are getting a bad rap. THE LOOK AMAZING on women with curves. Ya'll are just biased. LOL. Leggings are perfect for girls that have bigger thighs, but want to wear a mini skirt. I mean you don't even have to tan. Seriously leggings are great you just have to learn how to wear em. I'm not saying you should JUST wear a t-shirt with leggings, but leggings are GREAT with knee high boots, and a tunic, or dress. Leggings give you more support then a nylon ever would. Skinny jeans aren't my thing unless they are tucked into boots. The bubble skirt thing HAS got to go. It looks good on NO ONE except skinny girls and it ONLY looks good on them because they are walking hangers.

i know that this is not an exclusive 06/07 winter trend, but there are still misguided people out there with uggs. SERIOUSLY! anyways, i am rooting for skinny jeans because they fit so nicely and snuggly into my tall boots. ----------------- sirene de la fete

Overall, this season draws so many horizontal lines across the body in the least flattering places. Skinny jeans were the worst though.

I hope the layering is here to stay for awhile 'Cause it has been such a relief not to see butt cracks and belly buttons ALL time. I have been pretty happy with these trends for the most part. It's being done much more elegantly than it was in the 80's.

skinny jeans are aptly named that for a reason, unless you are super-skinny they look terrible...leggings can go to, i basically consider them the same thing as skinny jeans, both trends you have to be under a size 2 for them to look fab Layering I LOVE and will always love...

i picked other because- ALL OF THE ABOVE!! Because none of them are flattering!!! I wore leggings in the 80s. I was a small girl then. I've seen the pics. NOT CUTE. PLEASE BELIEVE ME! BaltimoreGal

If you have Hips and Thighs, most of these trends are not flattering, but the skinny jeans could die and I wouldn't go to the memorial! Preppy to the max!

Mod, I think if you can vividly remember when a fashion was last in it shouldn't come back for a while. Mod was in my last year of school because I had to design an Mod outfit for coursework, which was 2004.

I will never be over leggings! They are perfect with tunics. -And I wear quite a lot of tunics. Quite a lot of everything, actually. Think Mary Kate Olsen. Skinny jeans are incredibly uncomfortable, so I do hope they go away. I like my jeans looser and more distressed.
