Considering Whitney Port now works at Diane von Furstenberg, it's no surprise she's been hitting the town in the designer's duds. At The Hills finale party, she showed up in Diane von Furstenberg's eggplant-colored pleated maxi dress from the Spring '09 line. She also proudly wore the floral headband seen on the catwalk and Christian Louboutin's neon wedge sandals — fun accessories! She took a major risk, but did she pull it off?
She normally looks so good. But unfortunately, I think she's not so elegant lately.
the dvf dress is nice. she probably should have left that headband in the car...
No, the dress is beautiful - she doesn't pull off the headband though.
I like the dress, the head band is another story though.
hate it
hate her
shes a fake
I don't understand this. I think she was trying a bit too hard for a boho look. To pull off boho, it's gotta look effortless.
She looks a mess...HATE IT!!!
The dress is cute but the DVP Spring/Summer 09 runway headband just looks silly on her, and it doesn't go with the dress at all. WE GET IT you work at DVF!
i love the dress, but the headband has to go.
That is an ugly dress.
i agree with edie- looks like she is trying too hard.
just terrible..
Hate it - without the headband I may have given a different answer. Her dress looks nice but that headband looks ick.
the dress is likeable but she's trying too hard with that headwear!
I love the dress but it looks like she is trying too hard to be fashionable
HEY GUYS, be cool!
The girl had OBVIOUSLY just come from the Renaissance Festival.
*barf*
Eek, what's wrong with her these days?
The DVF dress would have been fine ALONE! The headband looks ridonkulous! Eeeek. Talk about trying way too hard.
love the dress hate the headpiece
I think its nice. It has an ethereal feeling to it. I think its different while all the other girls are still doing the mini dress thing.
I have seen DVF dresses she could have done so much better, what the He** was she smokin.
The headband is horrible. It looks like those cheap ones you see at the Renaissance Faire for little girls. The dress isn't that great either.
Ha! I didn't realize aphill4 recognized the resemblence as well.
I like the dress, but the headband is ridic.
Did she just come back from her tinkerbell audition?
Peace, Love, and cannabis, from the looks of it!
I saw her picture in this outfit somewhere and I had wondered if the headpiece was actually a serious part of the outfit or just an accessory relating to the event she was at! I don't really like any of it...the color or the heavier panels that begin just under the hips. I guess I can see a model styled with the headpiece on the runway, and although she's basically model proportions, I'm not feelin' it. It didn't translate for me at all.
the headband is soooo ridiculous....
I love Whitney and usually her efforts are much more pleasing. I get she's not into matchy matchy but at least the feel should go together. I like the dress and I think if she had gone with a different headband it would have been a nice feel but the headband and then shoes that totally don't go together it's just a mess.
maybe people are just saying they like the dress because they don't want to be ALL mean about her outfit...but i honestly am not feeling the dress. the headband? that goes without saying, i think.
the dress itself i could have lived with (not my style but w/e) but wtf is growing on her head?
Isn't Halloween over?
That's something I would wear to the renaissance fair...
Ewww. The whole outfit is so bad. The dress isn't even flattering with the darker purple at the bottom. The headpiece looks like something a Hawaiian hula girl would be wearing. Nothing matches either-- the headpiece looks summery, but the dress looks wintery (at least the color). And the neon shoes? Oh dear...
seriously? NO.
I love the colour and the lighter eggplant part of the dress. But the darker eggplant ruffly part and the headband push this outfit into the realm of the flower child, and that is just too much for me. I seriously do not understand the flower child headband craze.
I'm not really a fan of the outfit but it works for Whitney. Confidence is really all it takes to pull an outfit off, no matter how risky it may be.

The flowers are a little off-putting. I'd rather see her hair up with a jeweled comb.
What tha.......yea normally she dresses w/ sense but I think she must've had the lights off...its not cute at all..
i like the dress and i like the headband but i don't like them together at all
the color of the top of the dress is great...
and i'm done now.
She is trying way too hard with the headband. Also why would you wear a Spring 09 dress in the winter?
Especially with the headband, it all seems too boho....and that was definitely not a boho-esque event
It not so much the dress as it is whatever it is that is going on on top of her head...
i don't like her head thing.. i mean what's that?
Hate the headband thing!
The dress is gorgeous! the headband seems to kiddish.
I'm not loving any of this. The top of the dress is a bit.. odd.
the dress might be nice on its own, but this outfit looks stupid
