Who Wore It Better? Elizabeth and James Sequin Dress

What guts Carrie Underwood has to wear a dress that cool girl Mary-Kate Olsen both designed and wore. The Elizabeth and James sequin dress was originally worn by Mary-Kate back in September at New York Fashion Week. The country singer wore it recently also while in NYC. Who do you think wore it better?

I think they both look great, but I do love this a LOT on Carrie. I wish she would have went sans scarf, but she still pulls it off beautifully with her tights and booties. Lovely! :KISS:

I don't like the dress at all and neither of them really can pull it off. It seems like it's more of a summer with bare legs kinda dress that needs to be worn with strappy sandals not scarves and boots.

Carrie looks as if she's trying too hard with this look. MK pulls it off better because a dress like this doesn't require too much accessorizing at all, maybe a piece of simple gold or silver jewelry could tie this together, along with a plain colored wristlet or coin purse if need be.

The dress is a little Blanche Devereaux (a la GOlden Girls) for my liking, but Carrie looks 100% better. Her hair and make up are flawless.The only good thing about the scarf is that it covers some of the millions of sequins.

Mary-Kate looks like a skeletal zombie with unwashed hair - and the dress is just an oversized shirt on her. Carrie at least makes it look like a dress.

What is up with MK's friggin face here? When did they both start doing that creepy smirk instead of smiling like other humans? BTW Fab, MK isn't wearing the dress that she designed. I believe that this is the vintage piece of hers which inspired the design? Just thought I would point out that they are actually not the same dress even though they look pretty much exactly alike.

Carrie Underwood always looks uber over-done to me. Also, correct me if I'm completely off base here, but I thought that the dress MK is wearing was a vintage dress that she found, while Carrie's is MK's design based on the very same vintage dress. In which case, I would especially have to give props to MK for rocking something vintage and original, instead of just selecting a dress from a pretty popular line, a la Carrie.

Mary-Kate's hair is so bad here, and she looks strung out, or very tired!! Carrie always looks classy!!

mk. it fits her better and the colors are better. carrie looks like she's wearing a sack. i noticed that her sleeves are way too long. also the colors are too dark and the bulky scarf, gloves, etc. make the dress look uglier than it really is.

Carrie looks old and silly in the dress. I don't like her sense of fashion, it always looks like she's trying too hard. Mary Kate looks better, after all it is her design.
